At the time of HM Capital’s acquisition, Milk Specialties Global, founded in 1944, was the leading independent producer of whey and specialty dairy protein ingredients serving the sports nutrition, food manufacturing and animal nutrition end markets. During the investment period, production capacity was increased through the introduction of an additional plant. The business was sold to the Canadian Pension Plan as part of a packaged portfolio sale.
